Odoo Accountant Job in Germany (Raunheim)

About the role
We're looking for an Odoo Accountant for our Germany office in Raunheim (Hessen) to manage day-to-day accounting in Odoo for Mediod and for German clients.
You'll keep the books accurate, reconcile banks, prepare VAT data and DATEV exports for tax advisors, and help our consultants test and improve German Odoo Accounting setups.
Responsibilities
- Record transactions and maintain the general ledger in Odoo (SKR03/SKR04)
- Reconcile bank accounts and payment providers
- Manage invoicing, vendor bills, payments and dunning
- Prepare VAT (Umsatzsteuer) data and DATEV exports for the Steuerberater
- Support month-end closing and GoBD-compliant documentation
- Test German accounting configurations with our Odoo consultants
Requirements
- 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in Germany
- Completed training as Steuerfachangestellte/r, Buchhalter/in or a related degree
- Solid knowledge of German bookkeeping, VAT and DATEV workflows
- Very good German and good English
- Accuracy and attention to detail
Nice to have
- Hands-on Odoo Accounting experience
- Experience with e-invoicing (XRechnung/ZUGFeRD)
- Experience with sevDesk, Lexware or DATEV Unternehmen online
